Fairview Elementary School in Plymouth held a food drive in conjunction with its annual Winter Concert on Dec. 19.

This is the third time the school’s PTO has organized the drive, which started when there was an Earth Day theme to a concert a few years ago.

“We thought that this would be a good way to help our fellow man,” said PTO vice president Kelly Haefs.

Two plastic totes full of food were collected for the Plymouth Food Pantry from families and friends of those singing at the concert. The approximately 100 items of food  were delivered to the food pantry the next day, Mrs. Haefs said.
